Services

Four services. Sized, priced and commissioned the same way.

We do not subcontract. The crew that measures your house is the crew that installs, and every scope includes the duct and electrical details other bids quietly leave out.

01 — One system for both seasons, sized to your house.

Heat-pump install

A cold-climate heat pump moves heat instead of making it, so it costs about a third of gas to run. We size it to your house, set it clear of snow and drip lines, and commission it on paper.

Furnace & AC replacement

A 96% two-stage furnace with a matched condenser is right for many houses, if the ducts can carry the air. We measure static pressure before we quote and price the fix if they cannot.

Questions

Before you call. The things people ask on the walk-through.

Will a heat pump actually heat my house in a Portland winter?

Yes. The cold-climate units we install are rated to −13°F, and the load calculation sizes them to the coldest week, not the average one.

Why is your estimate a fixed price and not a range?

Because we measure before we price. The number on the estimate is the number on the invoice.

How long is the estimate valid?

Sixty days, equipment and labour included.

Do you handle the rebates and tax credit paperwork?

Yes. We file the Energy Trust rebate and take it off the invoice, and give you the certificate for the federal credit.

What happens to the old furnace?

It leaves on the same truck the new system arrives on. We cap the gas line and recycle the unit.

What does the commissioning report actually measure?

Static pressure, temperature split, refrigerant charge, amp draw and airflow, each beside the manufacturer’s target, signed.
